An authentic adventure in the heart of the Balkans

We believe that travel is truly about becoming part of a region. That’s why, from the very beginning, we’ve worked with local partners in Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo. Together, we mapped out a route through the Peaks of the Balkans. On this trek, you’ll experience more than untouched mountains and valleys. You’ll also get a glimpse of daily life in the mountain villages where you’ll camp.

The story began in 2021, when our team travelled to the Balkans to find partners for this adventure. We were immediately struck by the hospitality and enthusiasm of the locals, who worked with us to bring the idea to life. They still help us arrange luggage transport, secure border permits and prepare delicious local dishes every evening. Together, they shaped the Balkan Trail.
